Adventure, nature & attractions

One day I’ll do it. Most of us have a list like this.

Here you’ll find information, pics and videos about Sunshine Coast adventure, nature and attractions!

There is plenty of challenges on offer like learning to surf, tandem skydiving, abseiling, riding a horse on the beach, four wheel driving or joining a Harley tour.

Whether taking in the panoramic views in one of our many National Parks, or casting a line in one of our waterways, a holiday or day trip to the region does not have to be expensive with many free and affordable activities.

Get back to nature.

Ever felt like hanging off a wall? How about flying along on a wire metres above the ground or, a game of canoe tiggy on the lake? Maybe jumping off a big tree and trusting your mates to catch you? Up for a swim in a resort pool, a walk through the rainforest, sleeping with your friends in bunk beds in the bush?

I know that in medieval times, there were kids. But you don’t see them much in the history books, do you? The words fun and medieval aren’t often in the same sentence. It doesn’t appear a time when kids were allowed to be kids and could run amok. Kids were more likely to have to duck when the swords and pikes of war were being thrust about.  Or get ready to get married off at around 8 years of age. All very adult. Sunshine Castle redresses this historic imbalance.  It’s medieval and it’s fun. Who’d have thought it? Read more >

These little machines can really zip along. At around 75kms down the straight, the little four stroke, pull-start engines buzz away like giant mozzies, projecting their human cargo along at a thrilling speed. Read more >

I hope he knows his way round the coast better than he does around a comedy routine.

The kids thought it was all underwater so they thought they should bring their bathers.  We only discovered that at the entrance to UnderWater World when they asked where do they dive in.
