We’re on the countdown to Easter. Importantly, we’re on the countdown to the Kenilworth Cheese, Wine and Food Festival which is on Easter Saturday. I’m really not sure what to do first, although breakfast in the park seems a good place to start. The serious fun begins at 8.30 with the cheese rolling contest. Yes, the Cheese Rolling contest which will no doubt be a highlight and a bit of a laugh.
Then it’s time for the kids to have fun with the Cheester Egg Hunt. We are looking forward to spending the day which will not only allow us to indulge in the Kenilworth Cheese Factory’s award-winning gourmet cheeses, yoghurts and ice creams, but will also allow us to escape the rat race and enjoy some country hospitality. With its country fair feeling, the day promises to provide plenty of food stalls, some tips on cooking bush tucker food, the opportunity to relax with a crisp sauv blanc, and the chance to sample the unique range of the district’s finest liqueurs.
If you want to taste the best of what the Kenilworth district has to offer then visit the Kenilworth Cheese, Wine and Food Festival on April 7, 2012 at Charles Street (next to the Kenilworth Cheese Factory). The full day of events will kick off at 7am with a breakfast in the park.
