Taking away a taste of the Sunshine Coast - D'licious Gourmet Hampers

The Sunshine Coast is fast gaining recognition for its fabulous food and beverage producers. As the Farmers’ Markets will tell you, we not only have a vast range of produce we also have vast range of top quality produce, with much of it being sought after by national and international markets. The only thing is, other than the markets, it can sometimes be a little difficult to source this regional produce, which is where D’licious Gourmet Hampers steps in.

D’licious Gourmet Hampers is a small business owned by Irene De Vos her husband, Ray that focuses exclusively on quality gourmet hampers filled with Sunshine Coast based products. Holidaying in Byron Bay they were inspired by a local company doing a similar thing, but it wasn’t until they set about sourcing locally produced gourmet goodies back home on the Sunshine Coast for a hamper for Irene’s mother-in-law, that the idea began to take shape and form the foundation for a business while Ray convalesced from a cycling accident.

D’licious Gourmet Hampers are filled with Sunshine Coast produced yummies; candy, chocolate, nuts and nibblies, preserves, wine, beer – the combinations are pretty much endless.  While there are some set styled hampers with various combinations, if you have something specific in mind, Irene is happy to create custom made hampers to suit specialist requirements as well as your budget.

Moreover, Irene also takes great pleasure in supporting local businesses.  It is her belief (and I agree!) that the Sunshine Coast has some amazing products, most of the best ones are not readily available in supermarkets, so unless you have time to forage markets, the hampers offer a great alternative.

The hampers really are a taste sampler of the Sunshine Coast.  With inclusions such as Fat Hen Farm olive oils and tapenades, Maleny Avocado Oil, Candy Addiction’s handmade and personalised candies, Country Harvest’s and Gourmet Afrika’s preserves, as well as beers from the Sunshine Coast Brewery and macadamia nut goodies from Nutworks, there is certainly no lack of inspiration to draw from.

Hampers start at $40, but there are some great little gift options that are perfect take home samplers from the Sunshine Coast such as the $8 corporate giftbags, that is not just suitable for the corporate, and a welcome gift at some of the local B&B’s.

To browse D’licious Gourmet Hampers gift range, visit their website where you can place online orders, or ring Irene for your own personalised hamper. Irene loves what they are doing, and enjoys supporting local businesses, and it shines through with the attention to detail and helpfulness with which she attends to each order.
