‘Stretch out your Summer’ and WIN

February 14th, 2012 Lynette Brown

As I get older, the years are flying by faster and faster.  Christmas holidays are over, the kids are back into the swing of things at school and before I know it, summer will be over! It’s time for a holiday before the madness of the Easter bunny and hot cross buns.  It’s time to ‘Stretch out my Summer’ and take a break on the Sunshine Coast. Decision made!

But where to stay is the big question?

Perhaps I could take the family to the southern region of Caloundra – the playground of the Sunshine Coast - where the whole family can play beach games, get soaked in water activities at the safe swimming beaches, or patrolled surf beaches, or simply frolic in the water fountains.

Or maybe I could leave the kids at home with a babysitter and take a romantic escape to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. I can see myself relaxing over a long lunch in one of the charming villages.  There are plenty of excellent restaurants where I can sample local produce or maybe I can indulge in wine and cheese after taking a soul reviving walk on one of the world class walking trails.

Then again, perhaps a livelier getaway with the girls is what I need.  The heart of the Sunshine Coast – Marcoola, Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Alexandra Headlands and Cotton Tree – are all vibrant and exciting beachfront destinations offering a variety of cafés and restaurants, shopping, and nightlife.

I’m more confused than ever now because I can picture myself soaking up the lifestyle of Noosa where I can go shopping on Hastings Street, eat at amazing restaurants, or take a stroll through the magnificent National Park.

I have the solution to my dilemma … I’ll take four weekends away to the Sunshine Coast and ‘Stretch out my Summer’.  If I’m lucky I might even win a luxury long weekend which would be the ultimate reward for taking a break! Find hot deals for the Sunshine Coast.
